Welcome to ATP Jewellery
I'm Anthea and I design and make woodland inspired jewellery from my workshop in York. I am always happy to develop new ideas or personal commissions, so if you would like to discuss any ideas with me, please get in touch.
Rest and relax
After a crazily busy summer I decided I needed to have a short break and consider where I would like my journey through woodland peculiarities to take me next.
I've enjoyed taking the time to experiment with new techniques (and tools), including a day spent with my close friend and amazing jeweller Karen Ward to practice a bit of chasing and repousse.
I've also been exploring opportunities to develop my silversmithing through some specialist mentoring, which is going to be an exciting journey for me into 2024 and beyond. Who knows where it will take me next...

What's on my Bench?
Although I love the outdoors, anyone that knows me is aware how terrified I am of creepy crawlies.. especially beetles. My boys just love pointing them out to me, so when we visited the Natural History Museum they enjoyed showing me the amazing exhibition of creepy crawlies in the main atrium.
I was amazed by the detail on the beetles; the patterns of their wings and the iridescence of their bodies and I took lots of close up images.
My plan is to create some stunning beetle brooches, using vibrant gemstones set into textured and patinated copper and silver - hopefully helping me realise the beauty of these beasties rather than their creepiness!
